IN HIS OWN WORDS

Beginnings: I first started playing when I was about four, just because my older brother played, and I just wanted to pick it up after he did.

Chivas USA: It's interesting, how diverse the team is. It's pulling together a bunch of different countries, nationalities, and different people, and playing good soccer.

Food: I like a lot of food, but Italian food is my favorite. My ideal meal would probably be lasagna, some salmon, and some greens.

If you weren't a professional soccer player: Probably a writer and a teacher. Teaching creative writing.
