IN HIS OWN WORDS
Beginnings: I started playing when I was four years old, on an Air Force base. My dad was in the military; we were stationed in Texas and I was playing on my brother's team. Then we moved to Alaska, Alabama, back to Texas, to Colorado, to England, stayed in England for two years and then back to Colorado, and then I went to L.A. for college.Chivas USA: There's a lot of tradition, with what Chivas has done in Mexico. The chance to go down and play in Guadalajara at the end of last season was really eye-opening, as far as what it's like down there and what it will be like here someday.
Food: Mexican food, in general. They just put a Chipotle in not a mile from my house, and I've probably been there three times a week since it went in.
If you weren't a professional soccer player… I have a college degree in business, and I'd eventually like to do something in sports marketing, maybe real estate on the side as well.
