Chatting with Chivas USA: Lahoud
A weekly feature that puts your favorite Chivas USA players on the spot
Alecko Eskandarian or Jimmy Curtin. Jim always hits you with a comment that you're not expecting. It's always blunt and very sarcastic. And Alecko just clowns around all the time. He's funny because he always laughs at his own jokes.
If you could choose entrance music for when you came onto the field, what would it be?
I've actually thought about this a lot and now that somebody is actually asking me, I'm drawing a blank. I'd probably pick something by Timbaland.
What's the most number of miles you've run in one time?
Probably something close to 8 or 9 kilometers. Hopefully that's a lot in miles.
What percent of the Chivas USA roster do you think you could beat in ping-pong?
I think we have some hidden Ping-Pong talents on this team. I think Jesse [Marsch] is probably a Ping-Pong ace. There's just something about him.
Is there anybody you're positive that you could beat?
Galindo.
How many languages do you speak?
Three. I speak English, Spanish, and Creole, which is an African dialect that basically mixes English and French.

What's the most interesting place you've been in the world?
Brazil. We went there for training before my senior year of college. For me, going to Brazil was a big reason why I'm here today, chasing my dream of playing soccer. I saw what soccer means to a country that's really passionate about it. It was very inspiring.
What sports do you play beside soccer?
I currently am getting into Frisbee golf. There's a park across the street where I play. I also love bowling. I like leisure sports. Anything where you don't have to do a lot of running.
What sport are you worst at?
I'm embarrassed to say basketball. I can only pass the ball. I can't dribble and I can't shoot to save my life. I always shy away from a game of 2-on-2 or 3-on-3.
Who's the toughest player to play against in MLS?
I was really impressed by Freddie Ljungberg. He always positions his body to make life easy for himself, he plays quick, and he knows when to pass the ball and when to take it himself.
What's the ugliest soccer jersey you've ever seen or worn?
Anything with pink in it.
Who would play you in the Hollywood version of your life?
Omar Epps. My favorite movie is "The Wood," and I like the cool persona he plays.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
I've always wanted to say, "The Chronicles of Lahoud," but I'll think about it and let you know a better title when the time is right.
Who's the most famous person in your cell phone?
I just got a new cell phone so I don't have any numbers in it except my mom. So, I guess my mom.
Okay, lastly, here's your quiz for the day. How many goals did Chivas USA captain Jesse Marsch score while playing for Chicago?
I better aim high. Twenty?
So close! Nineteen is the answer! Good guess!
